The article submission process will be carried out exclusively online through the journal's OJS platform, published on the intranet and internet.
Submitting your article consists of five very simple steps:
1st “DETAILS” …The title that was previously entered is entered in English and Spanish. Here, if the author wishes, he/she can change or correct the title. Enter the same keywords in the three languages (Portuguese, English and Spanish). The same goes for the abstract (it is necessary to have previously checked that no version of the abstract exceeds 250 words because the platform will point out the error). Finally, at this stage, enter the bibliographic references. All this information is taken from the original document that will be sent.
2nd “UPLOAD FILES”… A link will appear that allows you to search your computer for the article that will be evaluated in Word format. The images, tables, graphs and figures will be inserted into this document containing their respective links in the text.
3rd “COLLABORATORS”… Here the system recognizes as the first author the person who is submitting the article with all of their data entered during registration, without which the submission could not be made. However, you have the possibility to edit this data to add or remove it.
Here the co-authors will be added and ordered as agreed; it is not enough for them to appear in the original that was uploaded, they must be placed here, this is where the editors will take the information necessary for the production process.
4th “FOR EDITORS”… There is no need to take any action unless you want to send specific information to the editors, such as a proposal for who or who could be the reviewers of your work. If you send proposals for reviewers, you must attach the correct first and last names of each one, the ORCID, the institution to which they belong, email and a summary of your CV that will allow us to decide whether you are a suitable professional to fulfill the role of external reviewer for this journal.

5th “REVIEW”… This last step is important because the system will notify you of any errors or pending information during the submission process. The author also confirms his/her agreement with the copyright statement by clicking on the corresponding box.
It is worth noting that the submission process is not an action that must be completed at the same time as it is started; the information can be saved in the current step and continued at any other time. Likewise, at each step you can return to the previous one and make the necessary corrections.
Upon completion of the submission process, authors will receive an email notifying them that their work has been received.
From that moment on, they will be able to monitor the progress of their manuscript through the journal's online platform, after identifying themselves with a “username” and “password”.

Submitting and receiving pertinent corrections through the online submission system implies agreement with the policies of this journal and, among other points, agreement with the following ethical and rigorous aspects:
The submitted manuscript is original and has not been previously published nor is it under consideration for publication in another journal. Manuscripts submitted to preprint servers with an assigned DOI are accepted. The Letter of Originality will be attached to the last page of the manuscript.
The manuscript meets all publication standards of the journal Gregório Semedo: Science and Development.
The documents cited in the manuscript are issued by authorized sources, such as: prestigious organizations recognized by national or international organizations; national or international refereed scientific journals; repositories, as well as books and other documents that offer elements that identify the authors or editors responsible for the published content.
The main author of the manuscript is responsible for all its content and declares that there is no plagiarism, conflicts of interest or ethical conflicts, exempting Gregório Semedo: Ciência e Desenvolvimento from any ethical and legal commitment.
The Editorial Team of this journal offers an estimated time of between five (5) and six (6) months for the process of evaluating manuscripts and their publication.

The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

That the petition has not been previously published, is not under review in another journal, nor does it appear in another work accepted for publication by another publisher.
That if the content has been presented in a communication or conference, the current petition represents a substantial modification of it and the text on which it is based has been duly cited. An explanation of this circumstance is provided to the editor in the appropriate place on the submission form ("Comments to the editor" box).
That each of the persons listed as author agrees not to submit this work for consideration for another publication while it is in the editorial process at Gregório Semedo: Ciência e Desenvolvimento
That the contribution of those persons who, not being signatories of the same nor responsible for the final version, contributed substantially to the development of the work and granted permission for such mention.
That the data and publications on which the information contained in the work is based, or which have had a relevant influence, have been cited in the text and in the list of bibliographical references, taking responsibility for copyright, any litigation or claim relating to intellectual property rights, exonerating Gregório Semedo: Ciência e Desenvolvimento from liability.
Likewise, the author submitting the work must confirm compliance with the following points:
The text meets the bibliographic and style requirements indicated in the “Uniformity requirements for manuscript submission”;
If the text has been assigned to a section of the journal subject to peer review (see section policy);
The file submitted is in DOC or DOCX format;
Whenever possible, web addresses and DOI have been added to references.
